Embrace Excellence
This role will support the strategic development of the overarching procurement function while owning assigned categories and projects across the relevant Indirect spend. As the Procurement function embarks on a value‑driven journey, the role will help deliver procurement excellence by supporting key workstreams with the Group Indirect team and BU procurement leads, ensuring alignment in direction, delivery, and the embedding of consistent processes aligned to the “Edrington Way” to unlock value and protect the business. Within Indirect spend, the role will support the development and delivery of the Indirect Procurement Strategy while owning assigned categories to partner with stakeholders in identifying value opportunities. Through a category‑led approach, the role will identify opportunities via tendering and supplier partnership management, ensure compliance with SODA, and support the rollout and embedding of the Procurement Policy through effective spend and contract management. This is a 8 month Fixed Term Contract.
Make an Impact
* Contribute to the overall procurement strategy through collaboration with leaders and stakeholders
* Assess current procurement maturity and help build a roadmap for improvement
* Support rollout of standardised Source‑to‑Contract tools and frameworks
* Help develop and implement category management strategies
* Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programme to strengthen supplier performance management
* Drive improvements in procurement governance, compliance, and sustainability
* Support development of a procurement performance and value reporting framework
* Contribute to creation and delivery of the Indirect Procurement Strategy
* Build deep category knowledge and apply a category‑led approach
* Embed SRM practices where relevant
* Develop and deliver a value‑focused opportunity pipeline
* Lead end‑to‑end sourcing to select best‑fit suppliers
* Ensure governance, compliance, and effective contract management across assigned categories
* Build strong relationships with stakeholders across business units
* Maintain positive supplier relationships aligned with company values
Your Talent And Skills
To be successful in this role, you will bring experience appropriate to the level of the position, supported by strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven track record of building high‑performance teams through effective teamwork and collaboration. You will possess the gravitas to operate confidently at senior director and executive levels, with an advantageous background in procurement functional development. Strong financial and commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and organisational awareness are essential, alongside a proactive mindset that demonstrates initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement. An entrepreneurial approach with experience sourcing across multiple spend categories is highly valued, as is the ability to manage change while communicating clearly both in writing and verbally. You will be capable of influencing at all levels, representing the organisation with credibility, and working effectively across functions. Additionally, you will be a confident decision maker able to perform under pressure, with excellent stakeholder management skills and strong project management capability.
