I am a 19 year old man living in the Pontardawe area. I have a huge interest in online gaming and would like to become a successful live streamer. I previously trained with the Ospreys for wheelchair rugby. I am looking for a PA to support me to go swimming (including changing), going for food and to access the community so I can meet people of a similar age.
Responsibilities
* Support with manual handling and transfers.
* Support with pushing my wheelchair as needed.
* Assist with going for swimming, changing, eating and accessing community activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Driving licence is essential.
* Willing to undertake manual handling training.
* Someone respectful who helps me stay independent.
* Trustworthy, reliable, punctual.
* Patient, caring, friendly, chatty.
* Male preferred.
Additional Information
Hours: 8.5 hours per week to be worked as 2 x 4hr 15min sessions (flexible). Days and times are flexible and to be mutually agreed at interview.
This post may require a DBS check (the cost of which will be met by NPTCBC). If this post requires you to work with children then a DBS check prior to commencement is compulsory. If requested by the employer, two satisfactory references must be provided. This post is subject to a trial period of 1 month and a probationary period of up to 6 months.
Wages will be paid on a 4‑week or monthly basis once a valid National Insurance number has been provided. You must be eligible to work in the UK and your employer will conduct document checks prior to commencement. You will receive the appropriate annual leave entitlement as well as all other statutory entitlements, details of which will be set out in your contract of employment. A Personal Assistants Handbook will be issued upon employment commencement. You are expected to undertake any mandatory training identified as relevant to this post. The cost of mandatory training will be met through the direct payment. Failure to attend mandatory training may result in your employment offer being withdrawn.
