Role Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of an Energy Performance Contract (EPC) across its entire lifecycle from an Investment Grade Audit (IGA), design, construction and measurement and verification (M&V). They will be supported by a multi-disciplinary team at the various stages of the process including Energy Engineers, M&E Designers, Construction Managers and M&V Analysts. The Project Manager reports to the Operations Manager.
This is a Hybrid role supporting projects across the North East and will require regular travel to site, with visits to our Leeds office.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the successful delivery of complex Mechanical & Electrical projects from initiation to completion.
* Ensure project delivery on time, on budget, and to agreed specifications.
* Be the day-to-day client lead and attending meetings and always representing Dalkia in a professional manner.
* Oversee all commercial aspects of assigned projects, including full P&L responsibility, budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
* Manage contracts in line with NEC3/NEC4(or FIDIC) principles, ensuring compliance and effective risk mitigation.
* Accountable project related SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality).
* Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
* Responsible for project performance reporting requirements (internal & external).
* Ensure Dalkia governance is followed and the necessary approvals received before cost or savings commitments made with a client or third party.
* Ensure the technical solution and energy savings can be achieved without detriment to Dalkia Energy Services’ guarantee.

* Selection and appointment of external consultants and managing and monitoring their performance.
* Manage the handover process from design, construction and completion stages.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
* Comprehensive understanding of energy and carbon reduction across large commercial and industrial sites.
* Understanding of M&E engineering designs.
* Experience working with major Plant: Boilers, Chillers, Pressure vessels, Air Handling Plant, Steam and Water systems, Motors, BMS, LV systems, CHP, Renewable Power, Understanding of HV systems, On-site generation.
* Experience in borehole drilling and GSHP (ground source heat pumps) (desirable)
* Mechanical engineering services background with a good knowledge of electrical engineering and general construction processes
* Experience in working on live operational sites, often with critical engineering systems where retention of resilience is required.
* Experience in Supply chain management (consultants & subcontractors)
* Understanding of component / sub-system performance requirements, model technical problems, statistical analyses, test records, etc.
* Working Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015
* Site development, consenting, and permitting experience
Qualifications
* This role requires valid Right to Work in UK
* Demonstrable experience managing complex, high-value construction projects.
* Member of APM (or similar) – preferably with APMQ (desirable)
* CSCS Black or White Card (desirable)
