This role is ideal for an experienced fundraising and engagement manager with experience gained from the charity sector.
Office based with early finish Fridays (2pm).
Responsibilities
* The Head of Engagement & Fundraising will develop and deliver a strategy that supports the charity’s mission and achieves and grows annual income targets.
* The Head of Engagement & Fundraising will lead, coach and develop a team across marketing and fundraising while being a key member of the senior leadership team.
* Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Engagement & Fundraising will develop and lead a proactive, results‑focused marketing strategy across all channels including email, social media, events, campaigns, PR, etc.
* The Head of Engagement & Fundraising will lead and project‑manage funding applications along with creating a fundraising strategy.
* Being a local‑focused charity, the Head of Engagement & Fundraising will build fantastic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, funders, partners, community groups and local networks.
Qualifications
* This Head of Engagement & Fundraising role is ideal for an experienced fundraising and engagement manager with experience gained from the UK charity, social care or local community sector.
* It is essential to be able to demonstrate leadership and team‑management skills along with a coaching and inclusive mindset.
* You have a proven track record of writing grants and securing investment from trusts, foundations and grant‑making bodies.
* Given a breadth of marketing experience, you must have a proven track record around digital marketing including social media, email marketing, online fundraising platforms and CRM.
* You are a natural communicator and relationship builder with the ability to engage and communicate with various levels of stakeholders, including the local community.
* You have strong creative storytelling skills to create compelling and effective campaigns.
* For the role it is essential to have a can‑do attitude and be someone who gets things done, with excellent time‑management and prioritisation skills.
