We are currently looking for an experienced General Manager with a proven track record in elderly residential care. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the care home and ensuring that the highest standards of care are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the care home
- Ensure that the care provided is of the highest standard and meets the needs of the residents
- Ensure that the care home is compliant with all relevant legislation and regulations, including CQC requirements
- Manage and develop a team of staff, providing leadership and support as needed
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
- Manage the budget for the care home, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently
- Ensure that the care home is a safe and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in elderly residential care, dementia care, CQC, and care management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of staff
- Sound financial management skills, with the ability to manage budgets effectively
- A relevant qualification in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
