An independent and growing accountancy firm based in Central London is seeking a part-time payroll manager to join the firm on a part time basis. The accountancy firm provides a number of services to a number of clients from HNWIs through to large international organisations.
Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage our payroll function. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the payroll process, working closely with a varied client base and ensuring a seamless andpliant service.
Key Responsibilities
1. Managing end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients using IRIS payroll software
2. Ensuring accurate and timely submission of RTI returns to HMRC
3. Handling pension auto-enrolment andpliance requirements
4. Dealing with payroll queries from clients and employees in a professional and timely manner
5. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and ensuringpliance at all times
6. Producing payroll reports and providing insights where required
7. Liaising with HMRC and other external bodies where necessary
8. Supporting process improvements within the payroll function
What you'll need to succeed
9. Proven experience in a payroll role, ideally within an accountancy practice
10. Strong working knowledge of IRIS payroll software
11. Experience managing multiple client payrolls simultaneously
12. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
13. Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach
14. Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, including RTI and auto-enrolment
15. Ideally CIPP qualification (or working towards)
16. Experience working within a small or independent accountancy firm
