We are seeking a qualified Finance Manager to lead the financial control and operational finance function for the Fluent Group. This role will take ownership of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensure robust balance sheet controls, and manage the day-to-day finance operations. In addition to this, support with projects, system optimisation and process improvements across the wider MAB group.
The successful candidate will lead a team of five, drive process improvements, and ensure accurate, timely reporting in line with Group requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five, fostering a high-performance culture while supporting their professional growth and development.
* Take ownership of the month-end and year-end close process, delivering accurate management accounts in line with Group reporting deadlines.
* Maintain robust balance sheet controls, ensuring all reconciliations are accurate, up to date, and fully supported.
* Ensure financial reporting is compliant with Group policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
* Manage the daily operations of the finance team including accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing accurate and timely information to support audit processes.
* Support with administration and optimisation of the group finance system.
* Identify, drive, and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and enhance efficiency across financial operations.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in a fast paced finance team with the ability to drive change and improve processes.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Proficiency in ERP and financial systems (e.g. NetSuite) and strong Excel skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
