SEN Teaching Assistant

Milk Education are recruiting for a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in East London. You will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, and behavioural difficulties, helping them to engage fully with their learning and make progress both academically and socially.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA or someone passionate about pursuing a career in education and SEN support.
What You’ll Be Doing
Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN needs (ASD, SEMH, behaviour)
Supporting pupils in managing emotions, behaviour, and building confidence
Helping students to access the curriculum and stay engaged in lessons
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support
✅ Experience / Qualifications
Experience working with young people with SEN (ASD, SEMH, or behavioural needs)
Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
Patience, empathy, and strong behaviour management skills
Ability to build positive and supportive relationships with students
