Mechanical Estimator sought, Hailsham. Bekk R Solutions are delighted to be supporting a national MEP specialist seeking further support with the addition of a mechanical ventilation (Ductwork) Estimator based within their offsite facility in Hailsham. We are open to Ductwork / Duct Fitters / Pipefitters or mechanically biased engineers looking to progress as a Mechanical Estimator (Ductwork / Ventilation). This is a unique opportunity for an either experience Estimator or Engineer looking to expand their technical knowledge.
You will be integral to the preparation of allocated estimates to produce accurate costs in the required timescales on our incredible M&E projects across the UK.
Daye to day,
* Be a self-starter who can read specifications and take information from to build estimates for pricing and feed into the bid team.
* Work with the bid team to identify bid winning strategies for each estimate to secure advantages for the company against competitors.
* Prepare each tender in a consistently structured and accurate format, with appropriate consideration of all foreseeable construction, technical and commercial risks and opportunities.
* Keep relevant stakeholders informed of progress against programme.
* Review estimates received and work with Procurement to prepare and dispatch supplier / subcontract enquiries.
* Working with technical experts, assess quotations and validate the information received against the employer’s requirements to ultimately select the most appropriate quotations for inclusion in the prime cost.
* Following contract award, ensure that successful winning bids are thoroughly handed over to operations providing clear evidence of tender basis, commercial opportunities and areas of risk.
What you’ll need to succeed,
* We are keen to speak to individuals that have a background in Estimating with strong understanding of ventilation and ductwork on medium to large projects. If you possess excellent analytical and communication skills and work efficiently to deadlines we would like to hear from you.
* Significant experience as an estimator
* An understanding of design is desirable
* Computer literate
