Reliability Engineer

Gap Technical is working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking organisation to recruit a Reliability Engineer. This is a site-based role focused on improving asset reliability, reducing downtime, and driving long-term maintenance effectiveness. The role combines hands-on engineering support with proactive reliability engineering, making it ideal for an experienced engineer looking to influence asset strategy while remaining technically involved.
Performance Objectives
1. Support and implement Reliability-Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programmes
2. Analyse asset and maintenance data to identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities
3. Develop and monitor KPIs including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance effectiveness
4. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA) on recurring failures
5. Carry out Asset Care Assessments to identify gaps and risks within existing maintenance strategies
6. Support condition monitoring activities such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis
7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt new reliability technologies
