Purpose of the role:
1. Business Analysis - To facilitate, coordinate and document detailed business requirements regarding the business change agenda (project or work package).
2. To work directly with the relevant IT development team or cross functionally as appropriate to articulate and ascertain the feasibility of the business change and mediate cross functionally regarding potential solutions.
3. To aide in the development of new solutions to meet business change requirements.
4. To assist internal customers in the management and development of their business processes to create efficiency and value.
5. To assist in the management of key IT projects, work packages from their inception to ensuring they are completed:
6. to the agreed timescales and milestone plan
7. with the desired deliverables of the appropriate quality
8. achieving the appropriate benefits schedule
9. report writing: this will incorporate writing the business terms of reference, writing the business requirements documentation – in readiness for the developers to commence coding, project highlight reporting etc.
10. testing: to assist as and when required
11. Working with the Service Delivery team regarding service transition
12. To support the Squad in both the maintenance and support of existing systems to meet (or exceed) Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Key Accountabilities/ Tasks:

13. Act as IT and first point of contact within the given business area(s)
14. Work with business users to identify solutions for business problems or opportunities
15. Development and the delivery of requirement documentation (such as TOR, Business Requirements, project life cycle documentation, test scripts & user guides etc.)
16. Once the requirements have been approved, create the Product Backlog (epic’s, features, user stories and tasks)
17. May be asked to coach new starters and business stakeholders when handing over solutions
Day to Day
18. Accountable for the performance of activities related to the support of existing systems
19. Ensure an Account Management relationship is developed within the given business area of responsibility
20. Provide regular Project / work package / account management information updates within agree deadlines incorporating project life cycle documentation
21. Educate and influence the business users in understanding the importance and capability of systems, data management and business process
22. Keep up to date with industry best practices; provide training and documentation where required
23. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Working with the wider IT team to:
o help develop the IT strategy and milestone plan for IT
o help coordinate the delivery of all IT projects
o provide support to other Business Analysts, Project Leaders, and Project Mangers etc.

Manage and keep up to date individual project documentation to include the following:
24. Proposal, Terms of Reference
25. Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Proposal (RFP) / Invitation to Tender (ITT)
26. Business Requirements Analysis and relevant Documentation including user stories
27. Design documentation
28. Product backlogs
29. Implementation and transition plans
30. Periodic Reporting for the IT leadership team
31. Relevant project documentation and user guides

QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:
34. No minimum qualifications are required, although formal qualifications would be an advantage
35. Experience of working in an agile environment and the management of a product backlog
36. Knowledges of Microsoft Azure DevOps would be an advantage
37. Excellent communication and coordinating skills will ability to gather and challenge requirements
38. Experience of a fast-paced retailer, supply chain or similar environment would be an advantage
