Overview
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading construction team delivering a mix of residential and commercial projects across London. This role offers exposure to high-quality developments and the opportunity to develop strong commercial and contractual experience within a fast-paced environment.
You will support the commercial team in managing project costs, subcontractor packages, and financial reporting from pre-construction through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the commercial management of residential and commercial projects
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts
* Carry out measurement and quantity take-offs from drawings
* Assist with subcontractor procurement and tender analysis
* Manage interim valuations, variations, and payment applications
* Monitor project expenditure against budgets
* Support contract administration (JCT/NEC)
* Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Assist with final account preparation and agreement
Requirements
Essential
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
* 2–5 years’ experience in construction (residential, commercial, or fit-out)
* Strong understanding of construction methods and cost control
* Working knowledge of JCT or NEC contracts
* Strong numerical and analytical skills
* Good communication and organisational ability
Desirable
* Main contractor or developer experience
* Exposure to mixed-use or residential developments
* Progressing towards MRICS accreditation
