Support Worker - Waking Nights Pay rate: Monday - Friday Night - £13 per hour, Saturday & Sunday Night - £14 per hour (weekly or monthly pay) Shift Pattern: Waking Nights 20:00pm - 08:30am Were looking for someone who will enjoy supporting a young man who lives with his family in Portsmouth. He is a vibrant individual with his own interests, routines, and personality.He loves getting out into the community, exploring familiar places, and spending time playing with his toys on the floor at home. He also has some health needs that are an important part of his daily life, including oxygen therapy, PEG-fed medication, and epilepsy. He enjoys eating his meals and snacks, and with the right support, he thrives on engaging, meaningful activities. Because he loves being out and about, were seeking people who know the Portsmouth area well and can drive, holding a FULL UK Driving Licence. What matters in this role Your support will help him experience a full and enriched life. Youll bring empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in who he is as a person. Youll also bring experience in: Hoisting Epilepsy Oxygen therapy What your shift will involve Youll be offering high-quality, 1:1 support that is shaped around his needs, preferences, and communication style. This includes: Spending time with him in ways that feel meaningful and enjoyable Supporting him to access the community and build positive social experiences Helping with household tasks so his home environment remains comfortable and organised Communicating clearly and confidently in the way he understands best, helping to build a trusting and positive relationship What were looking for Were seeking people who have experience in: Complex care Epilepsy Just as important is your ability to stay calm, communicate openly, and build warm, trusting connections.
