Job Title: Electrical, Control & Instrument Technician (32220) Location: Connahs Quay Power Station Salary: £44,000-£48,000 per annum Hours: 0800-1615 Monday-Thursday and 0800-1530 Friday Contract / Permanent: Permanent Site Based / Office / Remote: Site Based Start Date: ASAP Job Overview: Our client is looking for a Controls and Instrument Technician to join them at Connah's Quay Power Station to support with ongoing EC&I work on site. They are looking for a motivated team member with the ability to work to deadlines and communicate project progress. Duties of the role will include: Fault finding and defect rectification to electrical equipment. Breakdown repairs to electrical equipment. Providing instrumentation support. Trouble shooting Control & Instrumentation issues. Carrying out calibration and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems as per procedural documentation. Carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance activities. Instrumentation and control systems on industrial and or process equipment i.e. boilers, turbines, switchgear, starters, VFD's, pumps, fans, motors, drives, conveyors & control systems. Ability to interface and liaise with internal customers and other subcontractors. Assisting with technical input for proposals / tenders. Ideally you will have the following: Clean Driving Licence Time Served Relevant Apprenticeship with a Minimum of 5 Years' Experience HNC/HND or equivalent in relevant engineering discipline 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations Inspection & Testing 2391 CompEx Certified Ex 01-04 Computer Literate Please note - the client will put you through compex if you don't have it Hours: 0800-1615 Monday-Thursday and 0800-1530 Friday Salary: The role is a permanent position Offering a salary of £44k - 48k, dependant on experience. Overtime is available as required - OT rates apply - Time and a third for midweek overtime. Time and a half Saturday. Double Time Sunday. Benefits: Annual holidays: 25 days (with 3 held back for Christmas unless alternate arrangements are made) 8 days bank holiday. Pension : 7.5% employer contribution. 5% employee contribution.
