Construction Delivery Lead (CDL)
The Construction Delivery Lead (CDL) is an integral member of the Construction Delivery Team within the Construction Delivery Group at Amentum, overseeing construction activities led by Tier1 contract partners across the HinkleyPointC (HPC) project.

The CDL balances on‑site presence (50%) and office duties (50%) for meetings, reporting and administrative work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and develop Construction Delivery Managers, ensuring they understand site activities and can perform their roles effectively.
2. Provide support and guidance, ensuring all required training for a CDM is completed.
3. Fulfil line‑management responsibilities to Construction Delivery Managers.
4. Oversee all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment during construction activities in accordance with the NNB HPC Construction Phase Plan.
5. Conduct safety and assurance inspections that support project KPIs using the INSIGHT tool.
6. Share the Construction Delivery Manager’s responsibilities when appropriate, depending on work area and scope complexity.
7. When nominated by the Senior Construction Delivery Manager, undertake the role of Construction Delivery Manager for specific areas as required.
Education, Experience and Skills
* Strategic planning of site set‑up, construction sequencing, recovery plans and resource allocation.
* Good working knowledge of commercial principles affecting construction matters.
* Ability to produce informative, concise reports.
* Motivational approach that energises team members by building a climate of trust and understanding.
* Considerable experience delivering large complex projects.
* A relevant degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Construction.
* Understanding of obligations under CDM Regulations.
* Holding of NEBOSH, SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
