Insight Global are seeking an Entry-Level QA Engineer for a leading global Technology & Cybersecurity organisation developing advanced endpoint protection solutions.
This position requires 4 days per week onsite in Cambridge, UK for a 12‑month contract (Inside IR35), with potential for extension.
In this role, the QA Engineer will support quality assurance activities across a security-focused product suite. The successful candidate will help write and execute test plans, investigate and document defects, reproduce issues from support channels, and assist in maintaining the QA lab environment. The team operates collaboratively, with approximately 550 tests executed weekly across regression and new feature work. Training will be provided through hands-on learning, pairing with senior engineers, and a structured ramp‑up period before working independently.
Must‑Have Requirements Include:
* Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Scientific, or Mathematical field
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
* Foundational experience with:
* Test automation frameworks and scripting (Python or PowerShell)
* Testing virtualization‑based applications in Windows environments
* Test management/bug tracking tools
* Writing basic code
* Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
Plusses Include:
* Background in Agile environments
* Exposure to QA‑related projects
* Understanding of cybersecurity principles
* Create and execute manual and automated test plans
* Identify, document, and track defects
* Reproduce issues raised via support channels
* Support upkeep of the QA lab environment
* Work closely with developers and cross‑functional teams to uphold product quality
* Contribute to both regression and new feature testing
