Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker
Location: Filton, Bristol
Salary: £13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.
Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.

Who will you be supporting
At South Gloucestershire Support Service in Filton, we support eight adults with diverse abilities, including visual impairments, autism, and learning disabilities.
Our home is energetic and vibrant! The individuals we support are active and enjoy engaging in community activities such as discos, pubs, shopping trips, and family time.
We have a passion for creativity and the arts, regularly visiting theatres, craft workshops, concerts, and choirs, which help foster joy and self-expression.

About You
We seek a calm, patient, and resilient Senior Support Worker who can consistently support individuals in engaging with their interests.
As a Senior Support Worker, you will:
* Lead by example as a strong team player, demonstrating professionalism, patience, and calmness under pressure.
* Supervise daily activities and assist management with staff performance, development, and appraisals.
* Ensure compliance with social care legislation and regulations.
* Maintain accurate records, perform audits, and ensure quality outcomes.
* Take personal responsibility for the quality of care provided.
* Assist in planning and achieving short- and long-term goals.
* Organize and support activities, including vacations, learning, and social engagements, exploring new opportunities.
* Ensure respectful, dignified, and equitable treatment of individuals and their families.
* Hold a QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent), with a willingness to undertake Level 3 and demonstrate knowledge of standards.
* Work in accordance with SeeAbility’s values.
