Role Responsibility:
- Actively monitor security incidents in countries of interest and determine impact to client
operations
- Plan, research, and produce daily security reports delivering actionable insights. Reporting
products will also encompass broader regional security developments and threats to clients
in various countries around the world
- Deliver project-specific desktop risk assessments for events
- Produce threat and risk assessments of the security and political environment in target
countries
- Engage with internal and external clients and stakeholders to ensure relevance and
appropriate tailoring of reports to client requirements
- Effective planning and delivery of client tasks
- Develop and maintain information sources, including networks of in-country sources
- Collect, analyse, and interpret complex data with a strong understanding and application of
analytical techniques
- Provide quality control of IAS products and services to include revision and formatting of
complex documents to a high standard
- Provide research, analytical, bid and project support to IAS and G4S RC
- Manage content on the G4S Security Intelligence database
- Support and advise other analysts where required, providing constructive feedback for their
work
The Ideal Candidate:
Essential Qualifications
- Educated to at least Master’s degree level in a relevant subject matter such as international
relations, security studies, intelligence, or other relevant educational qualifications.
- Eligible to work within the UK
- Experience researching and producing thematic political and security analytical products
- Proven IT skills in Microsoft Office programmes and G-Suite
Essential Experience
- Experience working with data to identify trends
- Experience using OSINT tools and techniques to inform investigations
- A broad understanding of the drivers of insecurity
- Demonstrable experience collecting, analysing and producing analysis for senior
decision-makers
- Excellent editorial skills
- Demonstrable experience of collaboration across inter-company business entities and
external companies
- Demonstrable experience in intelligence analysis databases and open source research tools
- Able to demonstrate the delivery of accurate, timely and actionable analysis
