Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering high-quality care based on clinical protocols and physician orders, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring a supportive environment for patients and families.
Job Duties
* Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care according to policies and protocols.
* Conduct assessments, document findings, and report changes.
* Administer medications, monitor side effects, and document appropriately.
* Assist physicians during procedures within your competency.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
* Respond to emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions.
* Advocate for patient rights and needs.
* Educate patients and families about conditions and post-discharge care.
* Follow infection control protocols.
* Operate medical equipment safely.
* Maintain a safe environment and participate in audits and compliance checks.
* Make responsible decisions in care planning and delegation.
* Document care and education thoroughly and promptly.
* Engage in professional development and quality improvement initiatives.
* Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with policies.
Qualifications
* 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Strong nursing process knowledge and clinical practices.
* Excellent assessment and communication skills.
* Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring.
* Effective teamwork and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of safety standards and infection control.
Licenses and Certifications
* RN - State Licensure or Compact Licensure.
* BCLS - Required.
* ACLS, PALS, NRP - Preferred.
