Formulation Chemist - Lancashire - Personal Care
Responsibilities
* Develop and test formulations to meet customer briefs, claims, and regulatory standards.
* Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients from concept to first production.
* Conduct and oversee testing (stability, preservation, claims), and maintain technical documentation.
* Support product accreditations and regulatory submissions (e.g., COSMOS, Vegan).
* Collaborate with manufacturing teams for scale-up and production troubleshooting.
* Maintain formulation records, lab systems, and hygiene protocols.
What You\'ll Bring
* A degree in Chemistry (or similar scientific discipline).
* Ideally 3 years\' experience formulating cosmetic or personal care products.
* Understanding of UK/EU/US cosmetic regulations and product safety documentation.
* Confident communicator across technical and commercial teams.
* Highly organised, with proven ability to manage multiple development projects.
* Familiarity with sustainable, cruelty-free, and natural formulation standards is a plus.
