This position is responsible for preventing the spread of diseases through thorough cleaning, sanitizing, proper disposal of hazardous waste, and sterilization of equipment and apparatuses.

Essential Functions
1. Perform cleaning duties according to organization standards, schedules, and infection control guidelines.
2. Complete waste stream removal.
3. Clean and service assigned areas following established procedures.
4. Move furniture, equipment, and supplies within departments; maintain hospital cleanliness and orderliness.
5. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor machines and buffers.
6. Participate in at least eight unit/department meetings annually.
7. Maintain assigned areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
Job Description
Education: Some high school completed required.
Experience: 0-1 year related experience preferred. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe application.
* Working knowledge of cleaning tools like vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
