P+S are currently looking to secure high-calibre professional contractors capable of delivering works on live electrical networks, ensuring compliance with DNO standards, and supporting the growth of a scalable Power & EV division. Projects will be across the UK where candidates must be willing to travel, with flexibility for night shift work and outages may be required.

Core Responsibilities
* Carry out LV & HV cable jointing (straight joints, terminations, link boxes)
* Undertake network connections, disconnections, and service terminations
* Perform de-looping works on existing networks
* Install and commission EV charging infrastructure
* Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and DNO designs
* Conduct testing, inspection, and fault finding
* Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 (18th Edition), DNO / IDNO standards, and health & safety legislation (HSE / CDM)
* Complete all QA documentation, test certificates, and handover packs
* Work collaboratively with civils and reinstatement teams
Key Competencies
* Strong understanding of electrical distribution networks
* Ability to work safely on live systems
* Knowledge of DNO standards and compliance requirements
* High standards of quality assurance and documentation
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
* Electrical Competence:
o Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
o 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
o Inspection & Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
* Street Works & Site Competence:
o NRSWA (New Roads and Street Works Act)
* Cable Joining:
o Recognised LV cable jointing certification
o Proven experience in HV jointing (where applicable)
o Experience working with PILC / XLPE / waveform cables
Qualifications & Accreditations (Desirable)
* ECS or CSCS Card
* NICEIC or NAPIT affiliation (for EV works)
* City & Guilds 2919 (EV Charging Installations)
* DNO / IDNO authorisations
* LV Authorised Person / HV Authorised Person
* Senior Authorised Person (SAP)
Experience Requirements
* Minimum: 3-5 years LV cable jointing experience
* Experience working on live electrical networks
* Preferred: HV jointing experience
* Experience working on DNO / ICP projects
* EV installation and commissioning experience
