Hitachi Energy has an exciting opportunity to join our High Voltage Business Unit as an Operations Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing service business operations, including project management, quality, HSE, and field service, with the goal of improving performance and ensuring legal compliance.
Your responsibilities will include managing large functional teams, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety guidelines, and leading strategic and operational decision-making to optimize project delivery and organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage operations for multiple T&D GIS bay extension projects across the UK, overseeing project lifecycle, supply chain, and safety regulations.
* Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within quality standards, and meet KPIs.
* Make policy, planning, and strategic decisions to improve operational effectiveness.
* Develop action plans to optimize resources and costs, and support strategy implementation.
* Monitor departmental performance, quality, and customer satisfaction, initiating improvements as needed.
* Prepare and present financial and operational reports on KPIs.
* Lead project reviews, identify risks, and implement remedial actions.
* Forecast resource needs and participate in recruitment activities.
* Coordinate with other business units to align service activities and share lessons learned.
* Set organizational goals and oversee their implementation for cost-effective results.
Candidate Requirements:
* 5-10 years of project management experience in T&D projects.
* Experience in field service management, with a clear understanding of project and service delivery streams.
* Thorough knowledge of CDM regulations.
* NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
* Experience with SAP, particularly Project Cockpit and cost analysis tools.
