Kinship Supervising Social Worker
Working Hours: 35 Hours per week
Contract Type: Full time/Temporary (24 Months)
Additional Payments: Essential car user allowance
Responsibilities
You’ll work closely with special guardians and kinship carers, offering high‑quality supervision, advice and support to ensure children experience stable, nurturing and permanent care. Your role will be central to quality SGO assessments, support planning and ongoing development of kinship practice.
Qualifications
* Experience in kinship care and/or SGO practice
* Strong assessment, analysis and relationship‑building skills
* A child‑focused, strengths‑based approach
* Commitment to promoting permanence and stability
* Legal right to work in the UK
* Three years’ reference history
* Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
* Medical clearance (PPHA) at pre‑placement
* Essential Car documentation – valid driving licence and personal car
* Disclosures and Barring Service (DBS) clearance under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975
