Backend .NET Developer (Azure) - React exposure beneficial
Location: Leicester / Hybrid - one day per week in the office
Synchro is partnered with a well-established retail motor vehicle organisation operating within a specialist market, delivering new vehicle sales, approved used vehicles, and comprehensive aftersales services.
Their in-house software engineering team builds and maintains cloud-based .NET systems that underpin both internal operations and customer-facing platforms. Due to continued growth and new project demand, they’re expanding the team.
This role is primarily backend-focused, working on modern .NET/C# services hosted in Azure. There is some frontend work using React, but this is a smaller part of the role - experience or interest is beneficial rather than essential.
You’ll work in a collaborative, agile environment, contributing to scalable systems used across the wider organisation.
What you’ll be doing:
* Building and maintaining backend services using .NET Core and C#
* Designing and developing RESTful APIs
* Working with Azure cloud services
* Collaborating with frontend developers using React
* Contributing to system design and technical decisions
* Writing and maintaining automated tests
Tech environment:
* .NET Core / C#
* React (limited frontend exposure)
* Docker (Kubernetes exposure beneficial, not essential)
* Automated testing (NUnit / xUnit, Playwright)
What they’re looking for:
* Commercial experience with .NET and C#
* Experience building APIs
* Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure)
* Comfortable working in an agile environment
* Interest in writing clean, testable code
You don’t need experience with every tool listed - solid backend .NET experience is the priority.
What the team say:
“A welcoming and collaborative space where every opinion is valued.”
“Great work-life balance with plenty of room to grow.”
“Supportive, inclusive, and genuinely enjoyable to work in.”
* Technical discussion
* Final chat with the Director
