This is an excellent care home for adults with physical disabilities offering ensuite rooms with ceiling hoists. To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Service Manager in providing leadership to staff in order to deliver the highest possible quality of care within a safe working and living environment
* Lead the nursing teams to provide high quality, person centred care and support in a way which promotes dignity, privacy, safety and independence and which promotes equality and diversity for everyone living and working in the Service
* Support the Service Manager to manage the effective use of resources, including those which impact on the financial performance of the Service, and maintain high levels of occupancy
* Comply with all regulatory and legislative requirements at all times
* Ensure the smooth and effective running of the transitional unit within the home and liaise with external health professionals
* Provide Clinical Leadership and supervision within the Service
* Will have full accountability for Infection Control implementation and audit throughout the service
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified as a Registered Nurse with a current active NMC Pin
* Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead or Senior Nurse in a nursing home setting (preferred)
* Experience of leading a team
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good IT skills and confidence in computer-based work
* A can-do attitude
Employment Details
* Employment type: Full-time
* Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
* Hours: 35 hours per week, day shifts only (12 hours on floor as a nurse)
* Salary: GBP 39,600 per annum
