What You’ll Be Doing
* Delivering proactive and reactive operational support to maintain stable, secure environments
* Resolving incidents, implementing changes, and performing maintenance tasks efficiently
* Developing operational improvements and automation to increase reliability and productivity
* Creating clear documentation and supporting environment management alongside the Tech Lead
* Monitoring systems proactively to anticipate and prevent issues
* Engaging with stakeholders for service performance reviews and reporting
* Applying ITIL4 practices within an agile operational framework
* Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations through managing service operations
* Executing approved changes to configurations and documentation to ensure smooth service delivery
Main Skills Needed
* Proven experience in managing IT operations within complex, secure environments, preferably in national security or defence sectors
* Strong knowledge of VMWare Suite, Windows and Linux system administration
* Familiarity with network technologies, security principles, and backup solutions such as Veeam
* Experience with containerisation platforms like Docker and Kubernetes; monitoring tools such as Nagios
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organisation
* Familiarity with ITIL framework and working with DevOps teams in secure settings
* Supportive understanding of software development practices and microservices architecture
