Kitchen Assistant at Statham Manor Care Centre, a hospitality role in a full-time permanent position.

Statham Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care facility located in Lymm, Cheshire, providing care to 66 residents with various needs, including residential and nursing care. The home upholds high standards of safety, comfort, and care, reflecting the New Care vision. We invest in technology and offer daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are selected for warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training from in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD by CQC and has maintained a staff team without agency workers for over 3 years, ensuring continuity of care. All staff are paid at least the national living wage.

We are seeking a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation for residents and visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract at a rate of £11.44 per hour, with shifts from 08:00 to 19:00, including alternate weekends.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
2. Ensure kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules.
3. Maintain compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP regulations.
4. Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
5. Undertake daily pot washing duties.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required as training and development are provided.
