Our clients are looking for a Skilled Installer with experience in construction or a similar environment to support installation teams working on various sites, around the UK. We are seeking candidates based close to Portsmouth, and happy to travel. This role suits someone with basic experience in installation who is progressing in confidence and competence, working under supervision but starting to take more responsibility. Flexibility is essential, as the position requires both day and night shifts and often overnight stays (accommodation & expenses provided). Key Responsibilities As an operative, your duties will include: • Assist in the installation of fire and smoke curtain systems • Read and interpret basic technical drawings and wiring diagrams. • Carry out mechanical fixing and electrical wiring under guidance. • Follow health and safety policies and site-specific procedures at all times. • Maintain accurate records of installation work, including progress updates and issue reporting. • Use hand and power tools correctly and safely. • Support commissioning, testing, and fault-finding alongside senior engineers. • Communicate clearly and professionally with site contacts, colleagues, and supervisors. • Work flexibly, including travel and overnight stays where required. • Engage with in-house and on-site training to build knowledge and practical skills.
