Job Description
As the Accounts Payable Assistant, your role responsibilities will include:
* Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate recording in the accounting system.
* Reconcile supplier statements to maintain accurate records.
* Handle payment runs, ensuring timely and correct payments to suppliers.
* Respond to supplier queries and resolve discrepancies effectively.
* Maintain and update accounts payable files and documentation.
* Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
* Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Support the accounting & finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Assistant should have:
* Previous experience in an accounts payable or similar role within the retail industry.
* Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
* Effective communication skills for handling supplier and internal queries.
