The Orchards Federation is seeking an outstanding Lead Practitioner (Teaching and Learning) to join our Leadership Team at Cherry Tree Primary School. This is a pivotal leadership role for someone passionate about excellence in pedagogy, curriculum innovation and professional development.
About the Role
As Lead Practitioner, you will:
* Model outstanding teaching and learning across the school
* Coach and mentor colleagues to secure consistently high standards
* Play a central role in self‑evaluation and school improvement
* Contribute to curriculum and assessment development
With a 0.7 teaching commitment, you will remain rooted in classroom excellence while driving strategic improvement.
Qualifications
* Has at least five years’ successful mainstream primary teaching experience
* Demonstrates outstanding classroom practice across primary key stages
* Has excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment processes
* Understands effective pedagogy and evidence‑informed teaching approaches
* Can lead high quality CPD and support staff to embed agreed strategies
* Demonstrates strong leadership with integrity and empathy
