Finance Director (Designate CFO) Independent School Foundation – Cambridge
We are working exclusively with a respected independent school foundation in Cambridge to appoint a Finance Director. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for financial control, reporting, planning and governance across the Foundation. The role will develop into the position of Chief Financial Officer as the organisation continues its evolution.
The Finance Director will lead a small, experienced finance team and work closely with senior leadership and Governors to provide clear, high-quality financial insight. The remit includes oversight of financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and systems improvement. A structured handover from the current postholder will be available.
We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical capability, proven leadership experience and confidence working at senior level. Experience in education or charities is welcome but not required.
The role is based on site in Cambridge during term time, with flexibility outside term. Salary: £85,000 - £100,000 DOE + benefits.
