*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a genuine passion for early childhood education and child development. This role involves ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while maintaining high standards of childcare. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for leading a team of staff, engaging with parents, and implementing educational programmes that support children's growth and learning.*Duties** Manage the overall daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies* Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early education programmes* Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development* Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and professional development initiatives* Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children within the nursery environment at all times* Organise schedules for staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage throughout operational hours* Manage administrative tasks including record keeping, budgeting, and compliance documentation* Foster a positive organisational culture centred on teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement* Drive initiatives to enhance the nursery's reputation within the community*Requirements** Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting* Extensive experience working with children and understanding of child development principles* Knowledge of early childhood education practices and regulatory requirements in the UK childcare sector* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure* Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential; additional early childhood education certifications are advantageous* Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate occasional travel or errands related to nursery operations* A caring attitude combined with professionalism and integrity in managing sensitive situations involving children and familiesJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £32,760.00-£34,840.00 per yearBenefits:* Additional leave* Company pension* Employee discount* Free parkingWork Location: In person
