OVERALL PURPOSE:
To undertake on-site Rental service maintenance activities on a range Linet products and other associated third-party products providing an optimum level of support to both the Company and the Trusts in line with the obligations of Rental Contracts.
To cover as required additional contracts, holidays, sickness/absence where necessary and with consultation.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Predominantly based at our Head Office in Segensworth in Fareham, you will undertake a high standard of product service and repair activities on the range of Linet products and other associated third-party products in line with Linet Service Manuals and any obligations of specific contracts.
Maintain to a very high standard the company Demonstration Fleet, always managing and ensuring availability for Demonstration requests, overseeing the full process from request, delivery, return and quality checks in readiness for the next demonstration.
To ensure the Rental fleet is always fit for purpose in readiness for immediate deployment by overseeing repairs and maintenance to the rental fleet on a continual basis by supervising the rental repair operations team.
To assist, when required, with installation, service/warranty and/or repair requirement activities on any allocated sites within or beyond the boundaries of the designated service provision with prior consultation.
To respond promptly to all communications using the IT equipment provided in an efficient manner to offer the desired level of support minimising costs where possible.
To organise and plan daily workload to cover as effectively as possible and booking holidays/reporting absences in line with policies and procedures to ensure any additional resource cover is sourced in time where practicable.
To ensure that good relationships are maintained with all colleagues and customers, ensuring that an effective service and maintenance function is provided and to ensure that problems occurring are resolved promptly in the interests of the Company.
Ensure newly delivered stock is checked to ensure it is again pristine and ready for use.
To ensure a close working alliance with the Decontamination Team and Technical Manager.
To ensure that any allocated stocks are adequately maintained within agreed levels with management to meet agreed work programs.
To ensure detailed and accurate reporting of all service activities completing all relevant paperwork/electronic forms clearly and concisely and on time. Where applicable, maintaining copies for possible future retrieval.
To implement with current activities any major rework programs or warranty replacement programs to ensure they are completed in an efficient manner.
To maintain if allocated any Company Vehicle to a high standard of cleanliness and responsible for the regular maintenance and upkeep in accordance with Company policy.
It should be noted that this role could involve a proportion of travel. Therefore, journey planning is a critical part of this role to optimize efficacy. You may possibly be required to work/stay away from home based on role and work priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
3 GCSE's or equivalent (Grade C or above)
Minimum of 3 years' experience within Medical Devices Service and/or maintenance (Desirable)
City and Guilds (or equivalent) Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification.
