Our school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Start Club Assistant to help ensure that pupils start their day with a smile and a sense of security!
As an Early Start Club Assistant, you will create a welcoming and safe environment by supervising and engaging with pupils in the hall or playground, setting up and clearing the room, and assisting with breakfast service.
You will support pupils in developing independence, encourage good behavior, and provide comfort for minor accidents or upset, helping each child start their day positively.
A warm, approachable manner and the ability to promote the school’s positive ethos are essential.
Key experience for this role includes working with children and strong communication skills.
Requirements
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to join the relevant PVG scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
