Community Integrated Care is recruiting for Female Advanced Support Worker Specialist, with flexible night shift patterns of 39 hours per week, or part-time being a minimum of 24 hours.

You will need to be empathetic, build rapport, resilient, a good communicator, fun with a sense of humour, creative, and attentive. You should also be energetic, physically fit, as support involves activities like going to the gym, running, dancing, yoga, and keeping fit with the person you support. Patience, calmness, and a nurturing nature are essential, along with a 'Can Do' attitude.

NVQ level 3 or above is desirable; however, we will provide specialist training in PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) and PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) for the right candidate.

You will support a young adult with learning disabilities, autism, and other complex needs, helping them lead their best life.

About the role:

We’re building a specialist team to support B, a vibrant young woman who lives life to the fullest. You’ll deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support based on PBS principles, helping her enjoy activities like drama, role play, singing, dancing, cooking, caring for pets, and staying active.

B is looking for a team that is:

* Happy, bubbly, and full of life
* Creative and playful, especially with drama and role play
* Animal lovers (she adores her rabbit and guinea pig)
* Energetic and active (gym sessions are regular)
* Musical or artistic (singing, dancing, instruments)
* Great cooks and eager to learn in the kitchen
* Kind, patient, and emotionally attuned, able to respond with care

Your values:

* Level 3 in Social Care and experience in mental health, challenging behaviours, autism, sensory communication, or physical health
* Extensive social care experience if no qualification
* Ability to connect with people and support independence
* Mentoring skills to share knowledge with colleagues

We will develop your skills further through specialist training, including Positive Behaviour Support, Makaton, and the Picture Exchange System.

During recruitment, you will meet the people we support in their homes to understand their needs firsthand.
