Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Account Director with hands-on Paid Shopping (Google & Microsoft Ads), and product feed experience to join our busy team, working across some key clients.
More broadly the role will incorporate all aspects of online planning & buying (standard paid search, social, programmatic, display, etc.), however strong search / paid shopping experience is a prerequisite as this is an important area investment for a key client.
You will work into the Board Account Director on the business and the Head of Online.

Department Profile
Our online media department is a specialist online team. We focus on planning, buying, activating, managing and reporting on pretty much all forms of online media.
These include paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, paid social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc. as well as programmatic, email and publisher direct deals.
Most our online media are planned within the wider context of other media communications so there’s plenty to learn about print, out of home, TV etc. also.
Who we are looking for?
We’re looking for an experienced candidate who is analytical, independent & ambitious, keen to learn and to develop their skills in the field of online media. Attention to detail and being a self-starter are key to be successful in this role.
As mentioned, Paid Shopping experience is essential with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a PPC role.
The role will also involve activation / management and reporting of paid social and display campaigns. A Meta Blueprint certification is a plus along with any other digital media certifications.
Experience with Looker Studio is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have proven track record of successfully managing paid media campaigns with a focus on direct response and ROAS, experienced in using the full Google suite, with minimal direction across data analysis and task delivery. The candidate will also have a good understanding of data, attribution, tracking and measurement.
The candidate will be experienced in managing and liaising with senior clients.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Campaign Planning / Buying
· This may involve desk research, accessing audience data in Analytics platforms, keyword research, audience planners etc.
· Research / contribute to creation of presentations
· Briefing media owners where relevant and compiling relevant audience data & buy details
· Preparing detailed media schedules & write supporting rationale
· Review of previous campaign / buy performance for trends which influence planning decisions
· Negotiation & buying with media post signoff where relevant
Campaign Setups
· Paid Search / Shopping: Google & Microsoft Ads
o setup and activation of paid search / shopping campaigns
o Review of existing campaigns and implementing best practice
· Paid Social: Facebook + other platforms
o Campaign setup, uploading ad copy, targeting details, setting budgets etc.
o Review of existing campaigns and implementing best practice
· Tracking
o Occasionally liaising with clients on the implementation of tracking codes where relevant
· Trafficking
o Occasional liaison with our out-sourced trafficking partner on campaign setups
Campaign Management & Optimisation
· Managing monthly media schedules and budget allocations by platform
· Ensuring campaigns go live on time and troubleshooting where necessary
· Monitoring and optimising campaigns based on performance
· Managing budget pacing and spends across platforms /campaigns / adsets / groups
· Analysing the performance to produce strategic insights and recommendations to improve campaign efficiency and performance
Campaign Reporting
· Dashboards are already in place for all relevant clients however in some cases, weekly calls to discuss performance.
Client Liaison
· Liaison with both senior and mid-level clients on all elements of their online plan
Other Responsibilities
· Contribute to pitch presentations as and when required
Excellent client service and ability to multi-task in detail
· Regular senior client contact
· Simultaneous co-ordination and development of media proposals, implementation plans and results presentations
· Clear and concise style of writing with a confident and persuasive presentation technique
A well-rounded media planner and buyer
· A good understanding of how all the media channels operate and their role within the wider media mix
· Capable of developing strong relationships with media owners
· Supervision of media buying and rates and strong negotiating skills
A good grasp of commercial acumen
· Have a good understanding of income streams and the profitability of accounts
· Identify new revenue streams from organic and new client business
· Proactive in gaining awareness of changes which may affect clients’ business, industry and competitors
· Ensure financial admin is always up-to-date: bookings, payments, invoices

Benefits and perks
· Holidays: pro-rata’d to equivalent of 20 days for fulltime contract, so for a 9 month contract holiday allowance is 15 days
