Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Care
• Provide high-quality nursing assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer medications safely in line with NMC standards and NHS Trust policies.
• Monitor clinical conditions and escalate concerns promptly following hospital escalation policies.
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.
Professional Practice
• Uphold NMC Code and maintain up-to-date professional registration.
• Work in line with NHS policies, Trust guidelines, and safeguarding procedures.
• Document nursing care accurately, clearly, and timely in patient records.
Teamwork & Communication
• Work collaboratively with doctors, allied health professionals, HCAs, and ward staff.
• Adapt quickly to different ward environments and contribute positively to team dynamics.
• Participate in handovers and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
Safety & Quality
• Comply with infection prevention and control procedures.
• Follow safe patient handling and moving techniques.
• Report incidents, near misses, and equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Uphold confidentiality in accordance with data protection policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in an acute hospital setting (NHS experience desirable).
• Up-to-date mandatory training (e.g., BLS, Manual Handling, Infection Control).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
