We are currently seeking an exceptional and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our thriving small 17 space nursery and ensure the highest standards of care and education for our children. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a nursery manager or deputy nursery manager, possess a strong background in quality assurance, and possess the necessary traits to create and maintain a strong team and workforce.
Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and practices that align with regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
Lead a team of dedicated staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to ensure a cohesive and motivated workforce.
Conduct regular quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, health and safety regulations, and internal standards.
Maintain strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns or queries in a timely and professional manner.
Manage the nursery budget, ensuring financial sustainability and effective resource allocation.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and creativity amongst staff to enhance the quality of care and education provided.
Stay up-to-date with current research, trends, and best practices in early childhood education, implementing relevant changes to enhance the nursery's offerings.
Requirements: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Nursery Manager, with a proven track record of successfully managing a nursery or early years setting.
Strong background in quality assurance, with experience in conducting audits and implementing improvements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
A passion for providing high-quality care and education to young children, with a commitment to continuous professional development.
An understanding of financial management and budgeting principles.
Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or above, Early Years Teacher Status, Early Childhood Studies degree) is essential.
