Job Description
A highly regarded Chartered Commercial Insurance Broker are looking to appoint an experienced Account Handler to their established Commercial and Corporate team. They seek a driven and motivated professional with previous insurance experience to support the needs of a diverse and interesting group of clients.
As a Commercial Account Handler, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of Commercial clients and providing support for specialist schemes business.
The Account Handler is the first point of contact for all external queries and issues and will require the skills and knowledge to meet client expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Account Handler to join a supportive team with excellent long term prospects for development and progression.
About the Role:
* Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met effectively and efficiently.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their unique insurance needs and providing them with personalised solutions.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and analysis to determine appropriate coverage for clients.
* Negotiate with insurance underwriters to obtain the best terms and conditions for clients.
* Prepare and present insurance proposals to clients, explaining coverage options and pricing.
* Handle claims on behalf of clients, ensuring prompt and fair settlement.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in insurance regulations to provide clients with the most relevant and accurate information.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
Proven experience of Commercial Lines insurance
* Proficiency in using insurance platforms and client management systems.
* Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage client portfolios effectively.
* Understanding of compliance regulations, including FCA regulations and Consumer Duty.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence clients and stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
* A proactive, solution-oriented approach to client management and new business development.
* Cert CII qualification or willingness to work towards it, with business support.
