Our client, operating in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to join their team on a contract basis.
Location: Buckinghamshire (hybrid model can be explored once settled)
Contract: Initial 6 months, potential extension likely
Rate: DOE - Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities:
Structure and lead projects, ensuring alignment with performance, cost, quality, and schedule objectives
Drive project development plans and ensure product performance objectives are met
Maintain accountability for development schedule adherence and cost targets
Coordinate and manage cross-functional Integrated Programme Teams (IPTs) across multiple sites
Lead risk and opportunity management processes, ensuring the project's risk register is maintained
Serve as the primary interface with customers and stakeholders, ensuring consistent communication
Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure compliance with project management standards
Champion continuous improvement in project management practices, sharing lessons learned and best practices
Job Requirements:
Experience leading complex engineering development programmes in aerospace or regulated environments
Proficiency in formal project management methodologies such as APM, PMI, or equivalent
Understanding of PLM frameworks or equivalent stage-gate development processes
Strong experience in managing programme performance against cost, schedule, and quality targets
Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional, cross-site teams
Knowledge of risk and opportunity management, change control, and project governance frameworks
Degree-level qualification in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or closely related technical disciplines
Desirable Skills:
Experience within the Group or equivalent large aerospace supplier
Familiarity with enterprise PM/ERP systems such as Planisware OSMOZ
Knowledge of APQP and aerospace quality standards (AS9100)
Proficiency in French for cross-site coordination
Experience with Agile project management methodology
