A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Painter to join our Operations team in an established leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
* Mask, prepare, seal and paint equipment and various metal products within our paint spray booths wearing the appropriate PPE.
* Fit warranty tags.
* Ensure all products are painted to the correct specification.
* Manage your own time to ensure tasks are completed to plan.
* Identify and work with others to resolve inadequate or unclear manufacturing information.
* Ensure quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standard.
* Ensure all required documentation is completed correctly and on time.
* Ensure that the company’s Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are constantly adhered to.
* Be helpful, courteous and professional at all times.
* Occasionally work unsociable hours when required to meet demand.
Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience of prepping/spaying/painting metal products in a manufacturing environment is essential.
* Experience of using a pressure pot and compressor system is desirable.
* Experience of working collaboratively in a production environment with other operations personnel is essential.
* FLT licence is desirable.
* Overhead Crane licence is desirable.
* Experience of working within a continuous improvement environment is desirable.
* Manual Handling skills.
* Good communication skills.
* Flexible approach as the role may involve overtime including weekends and nights during high demand.
