Role Overview:
As our Solutions Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, architecting, and implementing our Ai platform's cloud infrastructure on AWS. This pivotal role requires a dynamic individual who can translate complex technical requirements into robust, scalable solutions while actively contributing to the development of our cutting-edge Ai technologies.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this is a hands-on role requiring autonomy and independence alongside a unique blend of deep technical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
:
* Design and architect cloud solutions on AWS that will support and enhance our Ai platform.
* Collaborate directly with CTO and engineering team during build stages, ensuring alignment between product vision, technical architecture, and implementation requirements.
* Develop and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures.
* Serve as an escalation point for engineering team during project builds, providing guidance and resolving issues.
* Provide hands-on support to the platform development and proof of concept.
* Engage with potential clients to understand their technical requirements and demonstrate our Ai platform's capabilities.
* Prioritise and advocate for client needs and timelines, ensuring these critical factors are incorporated into development requirements, to maintain high client satisfaction and project success.
* Create comprehensive technical documentation and architectural designs.
* Evaluate and integrate emerging cloud and Ai technologies to drive platform innovation.
* Support the end-to-end development process of our Ai platform and custom-built client solutions.
* Understand solution economics including solutions that incorporate customers with established AWS accounts.
Required Qualifications/Experience
:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
* 3-5 years of experience in cloud solutions architecture or related technical roles.
* Strong understanding of AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Bedrock, Secrets Manager, etc.) Along with a knowledge of MS Azure and Google Cloud.
* AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
* Experience in specific technology domain areas such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, application architectures, security, networking, data and analytics.
* Previous experience and understanding in a DevOps setting.
Technical Skills
:
* Proficiency in cloud architecture design.
* Programming skills in at least one language (Python, Java, Go).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
* Understanding of containerisation and cloud technologies
* Basic knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure.
* Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
