Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to drive a van or similar vehicle, and a strong commitment to customer service. Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
* Navigate efficiently to various delivery locations, using maps or GPS systems.
* Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries and returns.
* Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols is advantageous.
* Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, particularly in handling heavy items.
* Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and team members.
* A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required.
