Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Shift Manager to oversee our operations and ensure the smooth running of our logistics and operation activities. This role requires a proactive leader who can effectively manage a team while optimising efficiency and productivity within the environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the team are working in line with all HSE policies and procedures.
* Deliver a food safe and high-quality product to customers at all times with all process checks completed in accordance with company procedures.
* Goods stock takes are completed and accurate.
* Ensure timely delivery of stock to prevent any disruptions or stoppages in the production lines.
* Provide leadership, support, and development to staff, to increase knowledge, share best practice and ensure professional standards are met.
* Involvement in effective root cause analysis to minimise negative trends in team performance and the service to customers.
* Provide clear and concise communications throughout all departments involved across the yard and factory.
* Understand the daily and weekly plan and how to deliver goods to the factory from the warehouse team.
* Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods.
* Perform equipment checks and report any breakdown or issues.
* Implement continuous improvement process to ensure smooth operations.
* Monitor timekeeping, sickness reports, and complaints logs.
Requirements

o An experienced logistic/stock control professional with the ability to apply strong, leadership skills to deliver targets and objectives. You will have knowledge and experience in: Lean Manufacturing and Leadership Development.

o Strong communication and team working skills.

o Strong leadership qualities with the ability to engage and motivate teams.

o Ability to deal with conflict within the team and understand when to escalate.
*
o High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical awareness.
*
o Customer service, food safety and quality are high on the agenda.

o You will have spent a considerable proportion of your career in a manufacturing / FMCG environment
*
o High knowledge and understanding of food safety requirements.
*
o Require a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and can drive changes through continuous improvement.

o Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
*
o Good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £42,700.00 per year
