Job Overview

1. Successfully manage and develop clients across the Healthcare sector.

Main Duties

2. Management of waste contracts for various clients, in line with contract specification.
3. Maintain and develop client relationships with a view to maintaining and growing waste services.
4. Identifying innovative opportunities for services beyond traditional waste collection.
5. Maintain, monitor and develop the relationship with all relevant subcontractors
6. Develop and implement strategies for service enhancement and cost savings
7. Monitoring quality and accuracy of Management Information reports produced and submitted by the MI team.
8. Monitoring quality and accuracy of invoices produced and submitted by the Finance team.
9. Monitoring quality and accuracy of waste data on Mitie Waste's WR1 system.
10. Submitting and implementing strategic waste management plans in line with our client's environmental and accreditation objectives
11. Ensuring client compliance with current and future environmental & Health and Safety regulations and legislation;
12. Auditing both suppliers and clients sites
13. Ensure that contracts are run safely and efficiently to the required standard. To liaise with clients and monitor site operations if appropriate.
14. First point of contact for client queries on waste related activities
15. Attending Client meetings as required.
16. Liaise with Mitie Waste Finance team to ensure debt and WIP is minimised. Where appropriate, implement action plans to reduce debt and WIP.
17. Investigation and resolution of clients complaints and concerns.
18. Create a positive safety culture on client sites in line with client and Mitie requirements

What we are looking for

19. Has experience and understanding of the Healthcare waste sector
20. Has proven track record of project management and implementation
21. Can demonstrate a sound knowledge of the legislative requirements governing clinical and hazardous waste types
22. Is comfortable and capable of delvering training sessions to a varied audience at customer locations
23. Has excellent communication, written, time management and organisational skills;
24. Has the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once
25. Can demonstrate a working knowledge of waste and recycling best practice, including innovative approaches for the future treatment of waste
26. Knowledge or experience in Contract Management, Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste management.
27. Experience in handling and packaging of waste chemicals would be an advantage.
28. Can communicate with people across all levels of the organisation;
29. Has good presentation and planning skills
30. Managing change and Customer Care experience/skills
31. Understanding of Health and Safety practices
32. Approachable and hard working with a ‘can do' approach
