Overview
* Act for clients on a range of consumer contract disputes, including: New:build issues, misrepresentation claims and professional negligence matters
* Provide clear, accurate legal advice and set realistic client expectations
* Guide clients through decisions and next steps in a clear and accessible manner
* Take all reasonable steps to settle claims and recover costs
* Maintain accurate and up to date system records
* Supervise junior colleagues, including: Reviewing correspondence and court documents, conducting weekly file reviews and providing mentoring and day to day support to develop skills
* Contribute to continuous improvement by: Developing best practice, enhancing product performance and improving the overall customer experience
* Share and encourage new ideas within the team
The Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* Minimum of 3 years' PQE
* Experience handling consumer contract and professional negligence disputes
* Exposure to fast:track, intermediate and multi:track claims
* Strong collaborator who supports team development and knowledge sharing
* Able to assist others in building technical and complex case handling skills
* Experience using a case management system (essential)
* Previous supervision, mentoring or team development experience preferred
