Behaviour Teaching Assistant — Location: Nottingham (NG12); Pay: £100 - £110 per day; Contract: Full-time, Long Term to Permanent; Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm; Start Date: As soon as possible.
Role
We are working with a specialist all-through school in Nottingham (NG12) area that supports pupils aged 4-16. This inclusive setting offers a nurturing, structured learning environment for students with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you\'ll work closely with children across various key stages, offering tailored interventions and positive guidance to help them manage their behaviour, build confidence and re-engage with their education.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing 1:1 and small group support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties
* Supporting children in developing self-regulation and conflict-resolution strategies
* Building trusting, respectful relationships with pupils to help them feel valued and understood
* Assisting the wider staff team in maintaining a calm, consistent environment
* Helping to implement personalised behaviour and support plans
* Encouraging positive choices and promoting emotional wellbeing throughout the school day
What We\'re Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviour
* Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Strong communication skills and a nurturing, child-focused approach
