About us:
Stagenhoe, a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre in Hertfordshire, cares for adults with neurological conditions. We provide tailored neurological care, rehabilitation, and support to promote health, independence, and emotional well-being.
Main Purpose:
To develop and manage a supportive and inspiring volunteer program that enables the charity to expand its care services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review charity needs regularly and ensure volunteers support key development areas and established services.
* Implement measures to promote diversity and inclusivity in volunteer opportunities.
* Collaborate with the central volunteer team for annual audits.
* Measure volunteering impact and work towards KPIs.
* Recruit suitable volunteers to meet organizational needs.
* Ensure safe, risk-managed volunteer services in line with policies.
* Expand volunteer support in community settings.
* Organize knowledge-sharing and social events for volunteers.
* Leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency and virtual volunteering.
* Serve as the main contact for volunteer inquiries.
* Empower staff with tools and training for volunteer support.
* Develop partnerships with external organizations for volunteer recruitment.
* Facilitate role-specific training, induction, and supervision.
* Recognize volunteer achievements and address capability issues professionally.
* Help stakeholders understand volunteers' roles and contributions.
* Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
* Provide updates and reports to staff and central teams.
About you:
* Experience managing or working with volunteer teams.
* Understanding of safeguarding, risk management, legislation, and best practices related to volunteering.
* Knowledge of voluntary sector operations and partnership development.
* Commitment to equal opportunities, data protection, and confidentiality.
* Experience in recruitment and selection processes.
* Problem-solving skills and flexibility.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Experience working with vulnerable adults in health and social care.
* Effective meeting and workshop facilitation skills.
* Willingness to travel within the area.
