Early Years Teaching Assistant - Lighthouse Provision - Blackheath, SE London
A highly regarded Primary School in Blackheath, SE London (Greenwich) is seeking a committed Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their specialist Lighthouse Provision, supporting Early Years children with a range of SEND needs, including Autism and communication delays. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday Early Years Teaching Assistant position with an immediate start.
The Lighthouse Provision is a structured, nurturing environment designed to support young children with additional needs through sensory play, early communication work, and tailored intervention. The school is trialling ASAP, and needs an Early Years Teaching Assistant who is confident, calm, and able to engage children through play-based, EYFS-focused activities.
As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, your role will include:
Supporting Early Years pupils with SEND (mainly Autism and communication needs)
Assisting with sensory activities, small-group work, and 1:1 support
Helping to deliver structured routines and personalised learning programmes
Working closely with the SENCO and provision lead
Providing a calm, consistent, nurturing presence
The school is looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant who:
Has experience within EYFS and SEND
Is proactive and able to take direction
Can build strong, trusted relationships with young children
Wants to commit to a long-term specialist provision

Contract: Monday-Friday, full-time
Pay: £95-£110 per day
